This summer at Lake Kandle, we will be offering three sessions for swimming lessons. A session consists of 8-40 minute classes over a two week period. Classes are held in the morning, Monday through Thursday (Friday if class is canceled due to inclement weather). Classes are limited to 10 students.

SESSION ONE: JUNE 22 TO JULY 2
SESSION TWO: JULY 6 TO JULY 16
SESSION THREE: JULY 20 TO JULY 30

Typical classes and times:

Level 1- Pre-beginner 9am-9:40am
Level 2- Beginner 9:45am-10:25am
Level 3- Advanced Beginner 10:30am-11:10am
Level 4- Intermediate 11:15am-11:55am

Fee:
Member: $95 per session
Non-Member: $135 per session

PAYMENT DUE AT REGISTRATION

*Cancellations must be received two weeks prior to session's start to receive full refund.
*Multiple family member discounts are available(inquire in office).
*NON-MEMBER STUDENTS AND THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS MAY NOT STAY FOR THE DAY (unless they are registered guests of a member)


CLASS LEVEL BREAKDOWNS:

LEVEL 1- PRE-BEGINNER
Students will learn elementary aquatic skills (submerge face, blow bubbles), develop safe practices around water, explore movement in water(supported arm and leg action on front and back), and float on front and back with support. Instructors will demonstrate life jacket use.

LEVEL 2- BEGINNER
Students will learn to float without support on their front and back and will be able to recover to a vertical position. They will learn to submerge their entire head and bob up and down in a rhythmic pattern. Students will also be taught to glide on their front and back, explore simultaneous arm and leg actions(front/back), and taught to roll over from front to back, back to front. Instructor will also demonstrate life jacket use and teach water safety.

LEVEL 3- ADVANCED BEGINNER
Students will build on the skills taught in LEVEL 2, coordinate the front and back crawl, be introduced to the elements of the breaststroke, and fundamentals of treading water. They will learn to jump into deep water, level off, and swim back to the ladder. Students will also wear life jackets and learn water safety in the water.

LEVEL 4- INTERMEDIATE
Students will learn to perform a dive from a standing or kneeling position, swim underwater, and learn variations of treading water involving various arm movements and kicks. The instructor will teach  students to perform the front/ back crawl, breaststroke, and elementary stroke. Intermediate students will also be taught water safety.
