The Item Appeal
Neighbors Helping Neighbors
|
For the last 26 years, the Item Appeal has helped provide money for
food, rent and other necessities to residents of the area - Clinton,
Lancaster,
Sterling, Berlin, Bolton and Boylston.
The fund has a simple format: Local people donate what they can. The
representatives of the fund make sure 100 percent of that money is
given
to people in the local community.
Everyone is just one disaster away from needing a helping hand. A
layoff
or an illness can mean the difference between being OK, and having
trouble
paying bills.
It is easy to help. Donations are received year-round, but most of
the
money given out throughout the year is collected during the holiday
season.
All donations are acknowledged in The Item.
