Paying special tribute to
our veterans
Veterans Day, Nov. 11, 2006, brought the town out to recognize the
efforts of veterans, but it was an even more special day with the
dedicationof the memorials tothe veterans of World War II, the Korean
War and the Vietnam War. The new memorial is located next to the
library, which was originally built as a memorial to those who served
in the Civil War, and is adjacent to the World War I memorial flagpole.
The new memorial list Lancaster citizens who served in the three wars.
(Note: Additional copies of the Veterans day program are available at
Town Hall. With the large turnout, there were too few programs
for all attendees.)
