To any Constable of the Town of Lancaster in the County of Worcester,

GREETINGS:

In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are hereby directed to notify and warn the inhabitants of the Town of Lancaster qualified to vote in the elections and Town affairs, to meet at the Town Hall Auditorium, 695 Main Street, in said Lancaster on Monday, the eighteenth day of June, at 7:00 o'clock in the evening, then and there to act on the following Articles:

ARTICLE 1

Board of Assessors

To see if the Town will vote to take $10,000 from the Stabilization Fund to be expended by the Board of Assessors for the encyclical inspection of all real, commercial and industrial property in the Town of Lancaster, or act in any manner relating thereto. Recommended.

ARTICLE 2

Board of Selectmen

To see if the Town will vote to amend Article 3 of the 2001 Annual Town Meeting by taking $551,566 from the Stabilization Fund to fund the Town’s share of the operating budget assessment of the Nashoba Regional School District, or act in any manner relating thereto. Recommended.

ARTICLE 3

Board of Selectmen

To see if the Town will vote to amend Article 2 of the 2001 Annual Town Meeting and to fix the salary and compensation of the following elected officers of the Town for Fiscal Year 2002, pursuant to M.G.L. c.41, §108, or act in any manner relating thereto. Recommendation from the floor.

ARTICLE 4

Board of Selectmen

To see if the Town will vote to take a sum of money from the Stabilization Fund to be transferred to FY2001 Communications Department Wages and/or Expenses for the purpose of implementing the Collective Bargaining Agreement negotiated between the Town and MASSCOP, Local 203A, Dispatchers, for a contract period beginning July 1, 2000, or act in any manner relating thereto. Recommendation from the floor.

ARTICLE 5

Board of Selectmen

To see if the Town will vote to take a sum of money from the Stabilization Fund to be transferred to FY2001 Police Department Wages and/or Expenses for the purpose of implementing the Collective Bargaining Agreement negotiated between the Town and MASSCOP Local 203, Police Officers, for a contract period beginning July 1, 2000, or act in any manner relating thereto. Recommendation from the floor.

ARTICLE 6

Board of Selectmen

To see if the Town will vote to take a sum of money from the Stabilization Fund to be transferred to FY2001 DPW - Wages and/or Expenses and transfer a sum of money from Water Enterprise Available Funds to FY2001 DPW - Water Division Wages and/or Expenses for the purpose of implementing the Collective Bargaining Agreement negotiated between the Town and AFSCME, Local 1817, DPW employees, for the contract period beginning July 1, 2000, or act in any manner relating thereto. Recommendation from the floor.

ARTICLE 7

Board of Selectmen

Personnel Board

To see if the Town will vote to amend and/or adopt a new Personnel Compensation Plan Wage and Salary Scale, copy available for review in the Town Clerk’s Office prior to Town Meeting, or act in any manner relating thereto. Recommendation from the floor.

ARTICLE 8

Board of Selectmen

To see if the Town will vote to amend the votes under Article 4 of the 2000 Annual Town Meeting and Article 4 of the October 24, 2000 Special Town Meeting, and to take from the Stabilization Fund such sums of money to be transferred to the several wage line items in order to fund FY2001 wage and salary adjustments, or act in any manner relating thereto. Recommendation from the floor.

ARTICLE 9

Board of Selectmen

To see if the Town will vote to amend Article 3 of the 2001 Annual Town Meeting and to take from the Stabilization Fund a sum of money to be transferred to the several wage line items in order to fund FY2002 wage and salary adjustments; further, to amend Article 7 of the 2001 Annual Town Meeting by transferring a sum of money from Water Enterprise Available Funds to FY2002 DPW - Water Division Wages and/or Expenses, or act in any manner relating thereto. Recommendation from the floor.

Board of Public Works

To see if the Town will vote to take a sum of money from Water Enterprise Available Funds to be expended by the Board of Public Works and Board of Selectmen for water system capital improvements, or act in any manner relating thereto. Recommendation from the floor.

And you are directed to serve this Warrant by posting up attested copies thereof at the South Lancaster Post Office, the Center Post Office, the Fifth Meeting House and the Town Hall, in said Town fourteen days at least before the time for holding said meeting. Hereof fail not and make due return of the Warrant with your doings thereon to the Town Clerk at the time and place of meeting aforesaid.
