Leadership is not ending your affiliation with a group because it lost a court case. Even Sen. Rick Santorum's biggest defenders, the far right, must be appalled at the Pennsylvania Republican ending his association with the Thomas More Law Center after it argued and lost the teaching of intelligent design case ("Santorum now critical of Dover case," Dec. 22).

A leader would have spoken up and ended the affiliation before the court case.

Santorum's positions on many issues are not representative of Pennsylvania. In the coming new year, we can hopefully end our embarrassment.
