Working on his re-election campaign, Santorum spoke to a choir that would never dare challenging him: Cadets
and school staff at Valley Forge Military & College ("Santorum rallies troops at academy " 1/18.) Santorum insults the intelligence of all Americans - myself included- who do not
support the war on Iraq by accusing "a biased media" and the liberals. Nice try!
Let's never forget the reasons of this war. On Sept.10, 2002, Condoleezza Rice said, "We do know that [Saddam]
is actively pursuing a nuclear weapon." On March 16, 2003, Dick Cheney said, "We believe [Saddam] has,
in fact, reconstituted nuclear weapons." On March 30, 2003, Donald Rumsfeld said " We know where [the
WMDs] are." On May 29, 2003, George W. Bush said, "We found the weapons of mass destruction."
We do not support the lies that came straight out of the mouth of our administration responsible for
the deaths of over 2,200 of our troops and the deaths of far too many innocent Iraqis. At the academy, Santorum may have succeeded
in manipulating minds by suggesting that anti-war people do not understand the importance of stopping "Islamic fascism", just
as Bush did during his re-election campaign when he said that the world was safer, after the capture of Saddam Hussein. The
irony is that Bin Laden (not Hussein) has just released a new threat on our soil and that Fascism is taking place in America
as our president is abusing his presidential power.
