Last week, Sen. Rick Santorum was bashing elderly recipients who received Social
Security when the program first started.
In the Power Point presentation accompanying his Pennsylvania road show to sell Bush's privatization plan,
Santorum deprecates as "windfalls" the benefits retirees received in 1940, but doesn't say that they couldn't pay in very
much because the program was only created in 1935.
He ridiculed one Vermont woman who died at age 100 in 1975 who received an average of $640 a year following
retirement.
Sen. Santorum, have you no shame?
