Fleet Philosophy
The Alarishi Imperial Navy favors an unusual weapons configuration, placing nearly all offensive weapons on the port broadside and rolling the ship as needed to bring their weapons to bear. Most AE ships are initially equipped with beams and torpedoes; however, retrofitting is common and experimental weapons, such as the recently-deployed railgun, are not unknown. Most AE ships feature high maneuverability, high survivability, and high prices.
As the latest generation of Alarishi ships has seen little combat, and their actual capabilities are unconfirmed. The best known product of AE shipyards is the Night Vision reconaissance corvette, which has been widely exported.
Alarishi captains have discretion as to the appearance of their ships. There is a wide variety of paint schemes, ranging in style from subdued to gaudy; while any colors can be used, the most common are red, gold, black and white.
