The Fortress Zones

Guarding the  Passes

 

A subcategory of Militia is the Klesourai Command.  These are designated Fortress Districts located on planets where the Roman colonies have land boundaries with hostile foreign colonies.  Each is built around the core of fortress battalions.

Fortress Battalion:

Infantry Company may be mounted in 4xGiustiniani APCs per platoon, plus one for the HQ Section (+325 for whole company). These may be also be replaced with trucks (+169). See Militia for stats of Giustiniani. To determine experience level, roll d10. 1-7:Green, 8-9: Regular, 10+:Veteran. If warfare or rebellion is either recent or ongoing, add 1 or 2 to roll.

The Kleisourai of a planet are grouped into a Kleisourai Command, under a Duke. These also include regular militia units organized into three-company battalions. Also fighting in this area will be Akritai, and the combination is enough to slow and inflict extremely heavy casualties.
