   StarGrunt> IF Vehicles

my eddress

Standard IF combat vehicles are turbine powered, high-mobility wheeled vehicles with pintle-mount SAW. Where the terrain warrants it, GEV vehicles with similar capabilities are provided.

Civet (Combat Infantry Vehicle Tansport)
The standard rifle squad carrier, with room for two crew and eleven troopers. The turret sometimes carries an auto grenade launcher, but most have been retrofitted to carry a GMS/L with basic guidance. Size 3, armor 3/2, basic ECM, reactive armor, turbine powered, high-mobility wheeled vehicle. Suggested mini: the Komodo from DLD Productions.
Horse (Husaan)
Designed by the NAC firm Th. Barclay & Co., this combat transport chassis has been used as the basis for a number of configurations. For all variants, Size 2, armor 2/1, two crew, enhanced ECM, reactive armor, turbine powered, high-mobility wheeled vehicle:
  • Horse. The standard infantry carrier has a turret-mounted auto-grenade launcher and space up to seven passengers.
  • Stallion (command vehicle): command rig and 2 passengers.
  • Hunter (tank destroyer): GMS/H with enhanced guidance. Extra internal space is used for GMS reloads, allowing it to remain in the fight longer than one shot launchers.
  • Sandstorm (Khamsin) electronic warfare/air defense: GMS/L-AA (enhanced d8 guidance), 2 onboard EW teams and their gear.
  • Thunderbolt (Saa'iqah) self-propelled mortar: medium mortar with crew and extra ammo stowage for a mix of anti-personnel, anti-armor and smoke rounds.
Colt
Another Th. Barclay & Co. design, this is a popular 4x4 drive all-purpose utility vehicle. The Colt has Size 1, armor 1/0 (or, if open-top, d6), no ECM, turbine powered, high-mobility wheeled vehicle, and is armed with a SAW in all configurations:
  • Personnel transport carries officers, couriers, military police, or an infantry team.
  • Weapons transport carries a 60mm mortar or GMS/L
  • AA configuration carries a 4 tube launch system for GMS/L-AA
  • Ambulance version has 2 roomy or 4 cramped stretcher spaces available.
Camel (Jamal)
This standard cargo hauler is sometimes pressed into service as a troop carrier when armored vehicles are not available. Size 3, open top (armor d6), no ECM, turbine powered, high-mobility wheeled vehicle. This vehicle is normally unarmed, but some flatbed versions have been seen carrying a pintle-mount GMS/L launcher or RFAC/1.
