This cooking site is the second in a series I began years ago. The first, which I dubbed as, "Smashing Pumpkin Recipes", began as a fund raiser for Christ Episcopal Church of Kennesaw, a church I attended back in Atlanta, Georgia. At that time, I published a cookbook, which I called Harvest Pumpkin Recipes, and sold copies of the book at $5.00 a copy. I still have a copy of this cookbook at my desk if anyone would like to see it, but it is not for sale. Go here if you would like to see the on-line version.

This outdoor web-site has given me an opportunity to branch out in a whole new direction. My interest in this started a couple of years ago, when I received a Dutch oven for Christmas. That, coupled with my desire for eating well, and my support for the local scouting program, motivated me to explore this type of cooking medium.

This site continues to be a work in progress. A lot of these recipes were obtained from other Dutch oven sources, however, many of them have been adapted from proven kitchen recipes. If you have any additions you would like to add, you can submit them here. I hope you enjoy these recipes and techniques. Please let me know if you find anything amiss. Thanks!
