A Top Ten Weimaraner since 2001, "Ruff" is a multiple Best In Show and multiple Best in Specialty Show winner. Earning 3 Bests in Show in just one week, Ruff is the only male Weimaraner to go BIS in 2003. He is owned and loved by Mary Clark of Dustivelvet Weimaraners and his breeder, Charlene Scalzott. We are grateful to Mary for her loving stewardship and for giving Ruff this opportunity.

Our personal interest in and involvement with Weimaraners grew gradually over the years until we were happily immersed in the many versatile aspects of the breed. We have bred, trained and shown Weimaraners since 1972 producing numerous champion, BISS, group placing, futurity and maturity winning dogs. Our dogs have earned obedience, field and tracking titles and a number of them are working toward agility titles. In addition, many ShoMar dogs are the treasured personal gun dogs of their owners. Many others enjoy, with their owners, special intrinsic rewards as working therapy dogs in hospitals and nursing homes. All are, first and foremost, the stable, loving family companions of their owners.

It is our strong belief that all dogs must primarily be good pets and family companions before they can be show, field or obedience competition dogs. Beyond their function as family companions, Weimaraners should exemplify the unique and identifying characteristics of the breed. Therefore, sound temperament, good health, classic Weimaraner type, and versatility are hallmarks of our breeding program. All breeding stock is OFA certified, CERF normal, and tested clear of genetic health defects. All dogs are sold on a contract which carries a written health and hip guarantee. Pet quality dogs are fully guaranteed and sold on a spay/neuter contract.
