The camera is a tool for me to mine experience.
I can't pinpoint the moment photography stopped being about form,
when my concern for perfection dissolved and the image became a
form of evidence. I still experience the subtle lure of machine
and process, of the perfect reproduction of negative on paper,
but it doesn't last.
For the past few years I have used the camera
to question my reactions to the world in which I live. And I live
in a rather small space, a small home in a small town, a quiet job
and a small group of people I call friends and family. I realize
that I will never exhaust questions or answers in this small landscape.
