About Lisa Logan

My life from 12 to 30 involved a series of After School Special-style adventures that finally turned my sights to fiction. These include, but were not limited to: life in a show business family, a stint as an acting extra and production assistant, becoming a competition-level costumer, indulging a love of movies by amassing over 500 DVD's, having a themed wedding, and raising seven children a'la The Sound of Music (without the governess). I've worked as a stereo technician, a baker's assistant, a cake decorator, an ice cream shop manager, a hardware store cashier, a web and graphics designer, a childbirth educator, and a ward clerk at the hospital where I've worked for the past eighteen years.

I live in Southern California in a town smack dab between Los Angeles and Palm Springs, with my actor/director husband Mike Logan and the last of the brood still at home--a preschooler with plans for world domination. First step, win American Idol.

After doing a series of non-fiction essays and articles I turned to my first love, fiction. Several books, workshops, and classe later, A Kink in the Tale was published in Futures magazine. Soon ideas outgrew the short format, and full-length work followed. My first short and full legths weren't my first published, however. A Novel Murder, my first short, still sits in a drawer. And whileTwelve Steps to Murder was my first full length concept, it wasn't completed until two years after beginningVisions.
