Little does he know that his seaside temptress is not only his client's niece, but a cum laude graduate in paranormal studies who is convinced there is more to the island than meets the libido...and is determined not to let the Amante's potent energies sweep her off into a passionate oblivion. Written for a challenge project with no starting plot, using the winner of my latest FIND ME A HUNK contest as the male lead, the first draft of Building Seduction was written in just 15 days.

Jairis, one of the few skilled enough in the ways of his kind to have earned the coveted title of Soir, comes to the Amante to seek a bride from another world...only to find irritating rival Soir Novis has gotten to the prize first. Still, not only is his distant mail-order beauty willing to entertain the fiery challenge of a vampire lover, she intends to have them both...together, if possible.
Book 6: Trained Seduction
Master becomes student when the Amante del Mar's top all-business, all-masculine Special Services trainer takes a rebellious--and sexy as hell--newcomer to the Honor Staff under his wing for "remedial" schooling in the art of refined seduction.

Carrying only the envelope and blindfold, Julietta fumbled through inky night to the giant round in the center of the room. When she turned to sit down, the bare skin of her ass found a surprise sufficient to elicit a small gasp. The bedspread was of the softest fur--rabbit, perhaps. Faux, no doubt, so as not to offend guests with certain sensibilities, but convincing enough to find Julietta parting her legs to indulge a rub back and forth.

The maniac-slash-VIP again kept silent as he dragged her over to a supply closet beside the bar. Had the man lost his mind?
Heart pounding a bit, but still unwilling to believe that he meant her any harm, Jessamine tried once more for levity. "Let me guess, you can't find your room? I'll bet you a month's salary that this isn't it."
Pulling the door open with a grunt, Steve shoved her into the darkened room and closed the door. With a tug and a profanity--not necessarily in that order--she freed her arm and tried to glare Steve down in the darkness. She blinked hard, part against the inky black and part in shock at finding herself half-naked in a closet...with a man who was also half-naked.

With a tight expression David pushed into a press of exotic flora, hoping his mosquito repellent was enough to keep any hungry tropical critters at bay. Queen palm fronds snapped back in place behind him, and about the time he had a mental image of childhood games of playing jungle safari he popped out into a generous, cylindrical nook.

Q. How did you come up with the idea
for this story?
A. This started as the result of a call for submissions to a "hot strangers" summer anthology. I got the idea for an adult fantasy-island-style resort with paranormal enhancements, and the possibilities expanded well beyond the bounds of an anthology. So I decided to turn it into my own series.
Q. So the stories are all set on the island? Will there be recurring characters or ongoing plot arcs?
A. Yes! In fact, all the stories intertwine during the same period of time at the resort. Characters seen even briefly in Book 1 will have their stories told in later books, so watch for cameo roles. Chances are they involve characters who will be featured later--or in an earlier episode.
Q. So we should read the books in order, then?
A. You don't have to, because they are all stand alone stories. However you read them, you'll see how seemingly irrelevant activities and side characters in one book become pivotal moments in another, and vice versa.
Q. Do all the books involve paranormal characters?
A. Yes, though not all the books feature a para in the central romance. Since the resort caters to humans as well as paras, both are featured. Some, like Book 1, involve humans who are completely unaware of the paranormal meddling involved in their intiial meeting. Others, like Island Seduction, involve a romance between humans who are or become aware of the special nature of the setting. Angelic Seduction, Immortal Seduction, and Sinful Seduction all set the romance tale around paranormal characters. In short, there's a bit of everything in this series...human-human, human-para, para-para...even a bit of menage!
