 Class 6

Okay! We're ALMOST finished...but this last part is really important. Next to transitions, this next class contains about the coolest tool you've got in your trailer making arsenal...the Timeline.

  Back to the Future
  (aka Changing your Timeline.)

Let's take a close look at the Timeline. Above the images is a counter that ticks off the seconds (and fractions of seconds) in your trailer. Click on an image, caption, or audio clip and a blue line snaps to the second that feature will appear. All my images march along like good soldiers, all equal time on screen.

But when I play my trailer, some images sit around forever...and others not long enough. It doesn't line up with my music the way I'd like. And Yikes! The text caption at right is attached to the wrong picture!

No problem. We can fix ALL these things...down to a fraction of a second...by editing our Timeline!

  Moving to the Beat

You can use your soundtrack to compelling advantage if you work the timeline correctly.
