Unless otherwise noted, field trips often last through noon, so please bring a lunch. Field trips will only be canceled due to extremely bad weather. If you have a question about cancellations, contact the field trip leader. Carpooling is encouraged. North Country
Winter Finch Trip

Join leader Kathy Dube for a trip up north in search of winter finches. Last year's highlights included purple finches, boreal chickadees, evening grosbeaks, and both species of crossbills. Dress warmly for this trip!
For those who wish to carpool, meet at Hannaford Supermarket in the Lilac Mall on Route 125 in Rochester, NH, at 5:30am. All parties will meet at McDonald's on 214 Main Street, Gorham, NH, at 8:00am. Contact Mark Hatfield at 603-659-0705 for details.

Join Steve Mirick and Mark Hatfield for a working field trip to inspect and clean out the Tree Swallow and Bluebird boxes of Durham. While doing this, we will search for early spring arrivals at West Foss Farm and Wagon Hill Farm in Durham. This trip is lead each year in memory of Bob Hull. Owl Prowl

Join Steve Mirick on this early morning field trip in search of owls and early spring migrants in the Durham area. We will travel to local areas in hopes of hearing (and possibly seeing) barred owl, American Woodcock, and other early morning animals. The trip will conclude by 9:00am.
Be prepared for a moderately long walk in the woods with some wet areas. Bring a small flashlight and appropriate footwear. The trip will meet at in the parking lot for the Durham Market Place plaza off Mill Road in Durham, NH. Contact Mark Hatfield at 603-659-0705.
