Logan Extractions from the Commissariot:

These are the American equivalent of  "last will and testaments" or "probate".  The original record is available to be ordered through the Scottish Record Office or you can find filmed copies on microfilm through the LDS libraries, but good luck reading the older copies.

A note about searching for your Logan by location:
You should not limit yourself to looking only in the immediate area you suspect your Logan lived.  Often you will find Logans from "other areas" than what is covered by that Commissariot; so check them all.
