Andrew Logan: born in NorthCarolina. While residing in Ninety-Six District, he entered service at the age of 16 or 17 ( born abt 1766) under Capt. John Irwin about the time of the siege of Ninety-Six. He marched to the Indian frontier and fought against the Indians and the Tories. Next, he served under Capt. Samuel Moore as a mounted horseman and scout. He again entered service under Capt. John Irwin and joined Gen. Pickens for an expedition against the Cherokee Indians and was in the battle at Chota Town.
