We
are looking for volunteers with the following interests/skills:

Would you like to update our press list?

Do you have an interest in public relations and access to a fax machine in order to fax a one-page press release to
about ten different newspapers/TV/radio stations? We will supply the one-page
release and you would fax the material and follow up with a telephone call to be sure it was received. You would do this once each month, possibly up to 4 hours of work per month (September – May)
- Do you have marketing
skills to help us with outreach?
The NYC Walk4Hearing Committee
Volunteer opportunities at the NYC WALK4HEARING taking place in Riverside Park on October
18, 2009. Registration is at 9a and we need volunteers to arrive before then. We need volunteers in these areas:
- One security person
- Staff water distribution -- one to two people
- Staff food booth -- two people
- Distribute hats -- two people
- Face painter -- one person
- Clowns -- one - two people
- HLAA literature table -- one person
- Greeters -- at least 4 people
- Four guards at 96th Street
- Carting materials from cars to site -- 4 people
- 12 marshals to hold kilometer signs and direct people
- Garbage pick up -- 2 people
- General cleanup -- 2 - 4 people
- Set up tables -- 2 people
- Take down tables -- 2 people
- Welcome people at the end of the route -- at least 2 people
