B.G. Strebel's father died
of asthma when she was young. B.G., an asthma sufferer herself, has devoted her
life to the pursuit of clean air. She just finished her Ph.D. in environmental
engineering and has moved to Washington to work on the government's Emissions
Reduction Project. Shortly after she arrives, she discovers that her bosses are
involved in a kickback scheme. But when car bombs start exploding around the
entire country, her mother and her husband are in danger and she realizes that
it is her work that can save the country from further destruction if she can
get the word out in time.
