Lopatcong Township Fire Co #2

In November of 1972 members of Delaware Park Chemical Engine Company #1 decided to form a second fire company to serve the growing township of Lopatcong.

In 1973 these members moved into the old Harmony firehouse on Belvidere Road near the township line. A 1952 Ford Pumper was housed in these temporary quarters, and was joined by a 1950 Willy Jeep that was refurbished as a brush truck.

At the time, company #2's founding membership had grown to 13 members.

Ground was broken in 1975 for a new 2-bay firehouse on Strykers Road. It was completed in February of 1975, and company #2 members moved in with their Ford, their Jeep, and a new 1975 Mack pumper.

The original 13 members were James Anderson, Barry Kasza, William Mason, Lee Miers, Arnold Packard, John Perrine, Fred Richards, Joe Ritz, Harold Scott, Joe Stefano, Mike Sullivan, Bob Vasko, and Gary Woolf
