Literacy Volunteers of Fauquier County

Established in 1986, Literacy Volunteers of Fauquier County (LVFC) is a strong, community-based non-profit organization. LVFC offers a variety of literacy programs that enable our students to face the challenges of our rapidly changing world. The advent of technology has transformed the face of education and employment, underscoring the need for a workforce that can effectively communicate and is equipped for the future.

LVFC trains its tutors to teach adults to use basic communication skills, to work with speakers of other languages, to master survival English, and to learn to use the computer.

LVFC's Basic Literacy Program offers one-to-one tutoring for adults who cannot read, or who cannot read well. LVFC also offers tutoring for adults with identified learning challenges.

LVFC offers instruction in English. Our English as a Second Language (ESOL) Program offers both small-group and one-to-one tutoring. Please click here to see ESOL class schedules.

(Note: LVFC's Return of Organization Exempt from Income Tax (990) is available to the public. Please contact the office (540) 349-8142)

Our office is located on the 4th floor at 70 Main St., Warrenton, VA 20186. Click here for a map showing our new location.
