Mission

   The Community Food Warehouse is a non-profit 501(C)(3) agency whose mission is to provide low cost and nutritional food products in continuing and sufficient volume to its member agencies who are addressing food insecurity issues that affect the unemployed, underemployed, and neglected in Mercer County.

The Warehouse Goals

  • To address food insecurity in our area
  • To bring as much food into Mercer County as possible
  • To distribute food as fairly as possible
  • To coordinate area food programs and assist them with technical support
  • To project a positive image in the community and address the issue of hunger

Additional Benefits

In addition to procuring food through the America ’s Second Harvest Network, the Warehouse provides the following additional benefits to its member agencies:

  • Administration of STATE and FEMA Grants for Food Programs
  • Legislative updates regarding food issues
  • Funding for food programs
  • Assistance with reporting procedures
  • Compilation of master client list of food recipients
  • Procure capital equipment to assist agency programs
