Power Point Poetry Project

For this project you can use your poetry book you already made and received a grade for. You can change and/or add titles, content, etc….as you see fit to improve your project.

 

Minimum Requirement to show you have met the standard: C or 80%

1.       Three slide power point presentation:

ü  SLIDE 1: Cover slide with author’s name and title of your poetry collection    ___ 10 pts.

 

ü  SLIDE 2: Poem Slide -   Correct Poem style (lines,stanzas,form)                         ____5 pts.

-          Correct Mechanics (spelling,grammar,punctuation) ____ 5 pts.

-          Title of poem is creative and “fitting”                             ____5 pts.

 

ü  SLIDE 3: Poem Slide -   Correct Poem style (lines,stanzas,form)                         ____5 pts.

-          Correct Mechanics (spelling,grammar,punctuation) ____ 5 pts.

-          Title of poem is creative and “fitting”                             ____5 pts

 

2.       Transition effects between slides and all slides linked                                                        ____ 5  pts.

(the slide show runs automatically, without having to click the mouse, with enough time between and a variety of effects.)

 

3.       Clip Art is uploaded and used effectively on each slide.                                                      _____10 pts

       4.    One animated clip is used.                                                                                                                 _____ 5 pts

       5.    Visual and Spatial

ü  Visually attractive, varied and complete with color and text variety                  ____ 10 pts

ü  Space is used effectively to grade the reader’s attention                                     ____ 10 pts

ADD 10 points for additional slide following the above criteria for a B              +   ___10 pts

 

Add 20 points for 2 additional slides following the above criteria for an A        +  ___ 10 pts

** You will save your presentation to the server as we have done before in class. On the last day in the library you will print in black and white you slides on one sheet  to hand in. You will then present your live slide show to the class using the laptop/projector. If you want to work at home, you must bring in  your own flashdrive BUT you must “save as” PowerPoint 97-2003 if you are using VISTA.
