The hazy watercolor illustration on the box that houses the Goddess on the Go cards ("A Love Letter to Women") shows a woman reaching her elongated arms towards a star that hangs low over a stand of evergreen trees.  I was immediately drawn to this image--the work of artist Melissa Harris in collaboration with writer Amy Sophia Marashinsky.  I felt an identification with the woman, and when I later did a one-card draw--pulling this same image--I knew that I had already made a nice connection with this lovely little deck.

The small size (2-1/2 x 3-1/4) makes this set wonderfully portable; indeed, you'll want to keep them handy in pocket or purse for consultation and support as you go through your day.  Each card bears a powerful "I am" affirmation--e.g., "I am the flow of abundance," "I am choosing to see challenges as my Highest Good," and "I am in love with the adventure of life"--and an image that manages to combine soft impressionism with luminosity and high, dynamic energy.

Harris's color choices are delicious; her sense of gesture and movement is sublime.  Because the figures in her images are not rendered with specific realism, you can readily place yourself in these pictures.  In fact, they reach out to you and take you in, just as the one I drew--"I am creating the best for myself"--did for me.

In the accompanying booklet, Marashinsky shares how a commitment to affirmations corrected a tendency to think of herself as a victim. She tells how the cards were created with Harris also offers a few suggestions that will help women get the most out of their use. Her affirmations are fine-tuned to put us in focused awareness of and alignment with our souls.

Best of all, there are no heavy-duty symbols and interpretations to learn.  Everything you need to know is right there on the cards themselves.  Open the box and get going, Goddess!
