Our Contradance series for the community in Melrose--all ages and abilities are welcome, no partners necessary!
The band includes Cammy Kaynor (caller, fiddler, winds), Peter Butcher (piano), Nickolas Kaynor (fiddle), Eli Kaynor (cello), and Lia Kaynor (assistant dancing master). Newcomers welcome on the dance floor and in the band.
This is the final dance of the spring season. In honor of Midsommar, we will play lots of scandinavian tunes. Also this is the last Melrose contra that Eli will be with us as he heads off to college before we resume in September.

Fourgone Conclusions 32nd Reunion Contradance, South Amherst
Munson Library, South East Street, Amherst, MA
The Fourgone Conclusions in a rare appearance at this grand old dance hall!
Currently expected band: Ed Kaynor (piano); Van Kaynor (fiddle, limberjack); Doug Feeney (banjo, guitar, mandolin); Ray MacIntire (banjo); Al MacIntire (accordion, harmonica); Nickolas Kaynor (fiddle, viola); Eli Kaynor (cello); Cammy Kaynor (fiddle, recorder, calls)
The Fourgone Conclusions (original members = four Kaynors, Susan Riley, and Doug Feeney) have been inspiring dancers for more than 30 years. This event in South Amherst is guaranteed to be a blast with an emphasis on music and dances from the '70s and '80s. The band includes three generations of Kaynors, two of Macintires, and Doug Feeney :).
Dancers who danced to us long ago will be coming out of the woodwork so it is a great event for the past to meet the present!
