Abundant Living...
A WAY OF LIFE THAT IS OUT OF THIS WORLD

"I came that you might have life, and have it abundantly."
- John 10:10
Abundant Activities

You don't need a huge bank account to do things that are fun.  Living abundantly also means that you get more out of serving others than yourself.  This page is dedicated to some of the hobbies and activities that I enjoy.

Baseball Scoring

I am a huge Yankees fan and have been since I was a kid.  From Bucky Dent and Goose Gossage to Derek Jeter and Moose Mussina, I've always loved the Bronx Bombers, in spite of ol' Steinbrenner himself.  Believe it or not, growing up across the river in New Jersey, I have never made the trek to Yankee Stadium.  (One day I will though!!!)

Now, I don't watch as many games, but I always watch the boys in the pennant races and the World Series events.  It's tough to just sit through a 3 hour game, but when you start scoring baseball, it makes the game come alive.

Scoring is fun and inexpensive.  I score as I watch on TV or in Camden Yards!!!  Although I don't know him personally, a Maryland native has a great website that will introduce you to baseball scoring:  www.baseballscorecard.com

Try it out!  You can also score your kids' softball games and it makes things so much more enjoyable!

Magothy Heart & Soul

The band (see right column!) is in the process of producing and releasing a CD of our home church's favorite songs.  We're doing this as a fundraiser for the church.  If you are interested in purchasing a CD, send me an email at mar4jc@verizon.net

Once the CD comes out, I hope to have an audio sample here.

Movies Worth Watching
March of Dimes

I have an online fundraising campaign for the March of Dimes.  Click here, to read the amazing story of my niece Paige and why you should consider helping the March of Dimes.

Magothy Praise Band

I've always wanted to be involved with music.  Unfortunately, the only instrument I attempted to learn as a child was the "recorder".  For the uninitiated, it is basically a plastic flute that you play in front of you, instead of sideways.

Having no other "technical" experience with music, I became a DJ at my college radio station.  But, deep in my heart, even without musical "training", I've always known that I am a musician at heart.  I think in song and love music.

I am now living a dream as a member of the Magothy Praise Band.  We are a lively group that leads our congregation in worship at our 9:30am Contemporary Service.  Granted, we are volunteers and we can't quit our day jobs, but I believe that we have the highest calling you could have in music - drawing ourselves and others closer to God.
