September 1655

William Filley hath purchased of George Alexander his house and orchard and house lot containing nine acres, more or less, as it is bounded south by east by John Warehams and Daniel Clark, in length 50 rd. north west by Job Drake, in length 50 rd. northeast by ye Mill brook according to ye running of it. South-west by Daniel Clark. Also of wood land, twenty-eight acres, on the north it bounded by ye land of Thomas Newell decd. 50 rd. south by that which was Nicolas Palmers 67 rd. west 37 rd., east 76 rd. by ye common. These may certify that these parcells of land above written have been peacibly and quietly possessed by William Filley these twenty years and upward, and by him hath been improved, in his own right in fee simple, and not as a tenant and therefore that him and his heirs and successors forever, may enjoy it, deserving ye privilege of ye law of possession.

We underwritten decalre our acceptation as witness our hands this 11th day of April 1654.
