The How and Why Wonder Book of Dinosaurs, 1960

This was my second dinosaur book (after the Saalfield Science Series Dinosaur book).  Nice illustrations by Kenyon Shannon.

       

I loved the illustration on the left when I was a child.  Note that one foot of T. rex has 4 toes, while the other has 5!
The illustration on the right shows a typical restoration of a submarine Brachiosaurus before the dinosaur renaissance of the late 1960's
put Brachiosaurus and other sauropods back on land where they belong.  See doubtboy for more on this book.
