Dr. [Barnum] Brown." Some of these illustrations were reproduced in Fenton's books (see Life Long Ago, for example).




This is a classic illustration ultimately based on the Charles R. Knight painting of the showdown between T. rex and
Triceratops from the Chicago Field Museum of Natural History (see the top illustration on the Debus and Debus book
cover).  Donald F. Glut (Dinosaur Scrapbook) provides an interesting story behind the connection between Knight's
mural and this illustration.
