Prehistoric World, 1954
By Carroll Lane Fenton
This small book is geared towards young readers and is less "advanced"
than Fenton's Life Long Ago.

This book contains two of James E. Allen's color illustrations, a
"Brontosaurus" and the Corythosaurus above, plus
the cover illustration of a Stegosaurus, that were prepared for the Sinclair Dinosaur Book. This book, like
Fenton's
other books on prehistoric animals, contains numerous drawings by the
author which were often based on illustrations
by Charles R. Knight. For example, the Stegosaurus above, was
based on Knight's oft reproduced painting for the
Chicago Field Museum of Natural History (see The
Earth for Sam).
