The "Universal History of the World" is an eight volume set with contributions from various authors.  Volume one contains a chapter
called 'Life Before Man," by D. M. S. Watson.  The illustrations below are contained in this chapter, but unfortunately, the book does
not give us the name of the artist.  This chapter also includes several black and white reproductions of C.R. Knights illustrations
from the American Museum of Natural History.
