Scuba Diving
Flamingo has some of the best diving and instructors. The local dive shop is the best place to go. They offer daily guided diving trips to the Catalina Islands. The Catalina Islands are only about 15 minutes offshore by boat and there are many other diving spots to choose from. The prices are $75 per person.

Championship Golf
The Garra de Leon, designed by Robert Trent Jones II is around 15 miniutes away from the condo and the Hacienda Pinilla  golf course designed by Mike Young that is around a 30 miniute drive. Both golf courses are a must golf. The have spectacular ocena views along with the lush costa rica atmosphere with birds and monkeys in the trees.

Canopy Tours
These tours start by taking you into Costa Rica's dry forest. After a short hike to the first platform, you spend the rest of the tour repelling and flying along suspended cables from treetop to treetop. Cables are very safe. If you are lucky, even the howler monkeys will be our company in pary of the canapy tour. $35/person.  www.thecongotrail.com

ATV Tours will lead you through the hills, dry forests, rivers, and beaches. Tours are led by bilingual guides who will point out interesting areas and wildlife. $75/person.

Arenal Volcano and Tabacon Hot Springs
Arenal is Costa Rica's most active volcano. During the day you'll see steam coming from the crater & hear lava rock tumble down the slopes. Most nights you can see Arenal spewing lava down the volcano.  This tour also offers entrance to the hot springs and dinner. Full day. Includes round trip transportation, bilingual guide, entrance fee, lunch, dinner, and hiking.

Wildlife Safari
Local fauna together with exotic endangered African species roam free sharing a 250 acre cage-less territory of savannah, forests, rivers, and rocky hills approaching the sights, sounds, and smells of nature.

Buena Vista Adventure and canopy tour

Palo Verde national park

The lowlands and marshes of Pale Verde create the perfect conditions for the largest concentration of waterfowl and wading birds . You will see many birds, crocodiles, iguanas, and monkeys as you cruise the Tempisque by boat. lncludes lunch $85 per person

Corobici river safari float tour

This gentle float trip is safe for the young and old as you take in the sights of birds, monkeys, and other wildlife that thrive along the rivers edge. $88 per person and $53 for children

Estuary tour by kayak or ocean kayaking and snorkling adeventure

You will immerse into the mangrove forest of Costa Rica. Your guide will point out the many plants and wildlife. You will peacefully float along the estuary , under the cool shade of the mangrove trees paddling slowly as you take in the sights and sounds of nature. Adults $45 and children $30

Leatherback turtle nesting at Playa Grande

Tour is offered between Nov-Jan each year and reservations are required. Theese turtles are truely amazing and are the largest in the world reaching as much as 8 feet long. You will witness the mother fanning her way through the sand to lay her eggs and then returning to the sea. $35

Whitewater rafting

The colorado river is a narrow river where you will pass through canyon walls as you experience water rapids, lush vegetations, and wildlife. $85 per person

Haninging bridges

You will experience the forest just as the birds do. If you do not want to experience the canopy tour, there are trails with walkway bridges where you can take your time observing the birds, flora and fauna from the hanging bridges. Tours are available for a full day for $179 per person. It takes 4-5 hours to drive there. You can also drive yourself to Lake Arenal and at the bridge before you enter the city of Arenal, turn left and that will take you to the hanging bridges. The cost is $20 per person and if you want a tour guide to point out wildlife it is an additional cost per person.

My property manager will help you with which tours and tour companies you can use along with giving you directions on how to get places. The resort also has a tour desk that you can book tours that way if you prefer.

Aqua Center Activities at the Flamingo Marina
Bike rentals $15/day. Kayakin$35 per day. Boogie Boards $12 per day.

Transportaion- shuttles from airports and different areas. www.interbusonline.com or rental car agencies are dollar and budget at the airport. There are also private chauffers for around $100 per day not including gas and lodging for driver.
