December 7, 2008
Today, a handful of the Swingsters and their
parents drove down to Children's Medical Center in Dallas to deliver
carloads of toys, clothes and other gifts to the hospital for the sick
children that they care for. After delivering the toys, the Swingsters
stayed to spend time with a number of children in the various playrooms,
providing them with crafts and playing games with them. You can read

The Sachse Swingsters visited the American Airlines
Center today to perform in AT&T Plaza and watch the Dallas Stars in action.
The Swingsters performed 4 routines in freezing weather with wind chill
temps in the 30's. But the girls graced the plaza with genuine smiles
and dazzled the shivering crowd with their talent and fast paced routines.

the Swingsters gathered at the home of Makenna Smith for the annual end of
summer Luau. Swimming, food and fun for all!

Early this morning, the
Swingsters gathered at Sachse HS to host the annual teacher breakfast for
all Sachse HS teachers. Royal Catering was hired to bring a hearty
breakfast in and serve it to the teachers. After breakfast, the
Swingsters performed one of their routines in full uniform.

The
Swingsters hosted the Garland Cheer and Drill Team Association's annual pee
wee camp this week. During the week the Swingsters paired up in teams
and taught their groups dances that the Swingsters choreographed.
Tonight at showoffs the pee wee girls will have the opportunity to show
their parents and friends what they've learned this week.

Today was
the last day of ADTS line camp for the Swingsters. Auditions for All
American were at 1:30. Dance Evaluations were at 2:30 and
awards/farewells at 3:30. The Swingsters excelled at all of their
dances and it showed in the numerous awards they received:

The Swingsters spent their first
full day at ADTS line camp today. This evening, the Swingsters
performed their pom routine and the entire team auditioned for kick company.
Jr Lt Elise Smith, senior Ashley Hernandez, and baby Rebecca Gilmore all
made All American Kick Company. Congratulations girls! During
the awards at the end of the day, the Swingsters were awarded with Most
Admired Team of the day. Congrats Swingsters!! Keep up the great
work!!!

Did you happen to catch
tonight's episode of America's Got Talent?? In case you missed it, the
Swingsters own Jr Lt Elise Smith auditioned as part of the Beyond Belief
Dance team. 22 team members from the Mesquite based company auditioned
when America's Got Talent came to Dallas. Their performance was
outstanding! And obviously the judges agreed -- they're going to Vegas
baby!! Congrats to Elise and the rest of the BBDC team for a job well
done! We'll all be watching and supporting you all!
