News Assistant
In the mid-nineties, I worked part-time for nearly a year in the busy newsroom of the Bucks County Courier Times. As a News Assistant, I was one of a team of editors responsible for a majority of non-bylined local copy. In addition to an array of tasks, I composed a daily column of business briefs for the Money section, condensed press releases for publication in the Life section, and edited letters to the editor for grammar and content. I was also given the opportunity to write several bylined articles on area businesspeople. While at the Courier, I served as a member of the Ethics Committee.
