Engine bay in Zolatone finish. Notice the small holes in the
shock towers have been filled in & smoothed out.

Driver & pass side shock towers after media blasting & priming.
All the 'X' marks were there so I could determine which holes needed to be filled. Filling was done using a 2 part epoxy
filler then the surface was smoothed out using metal glaze & many hours of sanding. Polyester filler will have a
greater chance of cracking or falling out as it expands & contracts from the temperature changes.

Test fitting Griggs Racing K-member. Well it didn't fit as
they said it would at Griggs. That was a shocker. It was not a "bolt in with no modifications" aftermaket part.
Of coarse I over came that after madifying the oilpan.

Here you can see the interference I ran into using the Griggs K-member. The engine actually needed to tilt forward
3/8" to be in the proper location. The owner @ Griggs said, "just dimple your oil pan", "WHACK it with a pipe".
Obviously I don't subsribe to that form of NASCAR engineering. Pics of the modified oilpan will come soon.
