Thank you, in anticipation of some
rattling good answers!
My brother caught a rattlesnake when we were too young to know
better. He also caught a bat, an iguana, and a bunch of other creepy
crawly things: crawdads, toads, frogs, garter snakes, etc.
We never thought about eating it. But, we should have because
we were poor - Mom and Dad had nine kids.
The only after effect - of Todd catching the snake - was Mom going
crazy, she was screaming and hooting and hollering. It's amazing Todd
didn't get bitten, the snake was probably too scared of what Mom would
do to him.

game, out in the ..Coliseum parking lot
*Chicken, but a little sweeter
*Chicken-ish

dog during the game!

* No. My dad brought some rattlesnake meat back from the annual Little
Sahara State Park rattlesnake round-up one year when we lived in Oklahoma.
* Sauted in a pan, I think.
* It tasted a little like frog meat that I'd eaten once when my
brother and his friend brought back frogs they had captured. (also
in Oklahoma
* A bit rubber-y
* An unpleasant taste in my mouth--I really only took a small
bite.
(barfing counts!)
* I guess I'd rather eat a rattler than see one, and I really
don't want to eat one again. And I'm happy to say that I've never
run into a rattler in person--outside of a zoo.
