In thinking through connecting with people and being able to share Jesus with them. I believe it is most important
to have a relationship with people before you share your faith with them. If there is no relationship, you
did not invest the time and yourself in the other person. What right would you have then to be speaking into their life
and why on earth would they listen to you? So where do we go to build these relationships? What
about in church on Sunday mornings or Wednesday nights? Maybe....., but the missional nature of our Christian faith
moves us to go where we may not feel comfortable or have positions of influence. A person who doesn't
regulary attend a church would need to be pretty desperate to cast themselves into the midst of the normal church environment with
a people who 'know' all things Christian. We should be willing to be the uncomfortable ones, going into an
environment where others are comfortable and feel at home. In my experience, people are very open to discussing and
considering spiritual topics when they are in their own environment where they are confident of themselves.
So consider being a missionary, very close to home....
