What kind of music does 3rd & Main play?
We like to call it "Cool Noir ", or as Ken would say: "It's musicians with progressive/rock roots playing jazz." There's many different influences behind the music, and it doesn't stick to any single identifiable type or form. It's good as background 'mood' music, or the focus of attention. "It's not there, but it's all around you."
How long has the band been in existence?
Since October of 2001.
Who composes the music?
Primarily Gil. He has the knack. But everyone has contributed at least one song. And everyone's hand is in their own individual parts. It's a tasty, delicious blend.
How many miles is it from the earth to the sun?
Many. (psssst: 92 million)
What's the cost of a 3rd & Main show?
Well, that's a verrry good question.
What is our political party of choice?
Indepublicrat. But don't get us going on that.
What are the musical influences of the band?
Here we go: God, Jesus, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Al Jolson, Bob Dylan, Genesis, Yes, Gordon Lightfoot, Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull and about so many more inspirational groups/artists.
What is "pantomime"?
According to the dictionary, it's expressing something by facial expressions and body movements alone... without words. According to Michael Palin, it's men dressing as women and performing a play. You make the choice.
How can I contact you?

Where can I see 3rd & Main perform live?
Like a Lunar eclipse, we come out only on brief occasions. Send us your email address and we'll be happy to
notify you when we decide the time is right to grace the public with a performance.
I'd like to know more about you. Tell me something about yourselves.
We enjoy our time together. Be it by a roaring fire, on the back porch, or on stage in our "cool noir" duds.
I think we're as much family as we are a band. That's what brings the experience to the next level, and
is what's missing in so many acts today.
What else?
We're always on the lookout for satellite musicians. We've hooked up with accomplished saxophonist
Andy Robinson, who has opened up a new dimension to the music, vocalist Christiane Page occasionally graces the stage with an outstanding redition or two. More to come...
