My modeling card featured a caftan that was
hand-made by a designer in Pennsylvania. That designer loved this shot so much that she singlehandedly gave out more
of my cards than I gave out to photographers and ad reps during a three year period.

Around the same time as the caftan series, a fashion
show at the United Nations proved memorable. Ha. None of the costumes appropriated for me got worn by me.
I ended up modeling an arrangement of odd pieces, including only one glove, but by keeping one hand in my pocket, I pulled
off that non-ensemble to its best advantage and kept my place in the show!

Although I felt most comfortable being exotic
or going glam, (such as for the Marilyn Look-Alike contest,) the commercial work was the most practical.
One booking required a transport from Manhattan to New Jersey so that the shoot for Volkswagon could took place
in the beautiful countryside although all the photos were taken inside the vehicle!

Another favorite was a revival of GEISHA
(photographer Joe Bevilacqua, make-up artist Shimpei Shibahara). Anton Perich devoted a full page to this series and
my article in one of his 1978 issues of NIGHT. Later that year, Time magazine depicted GEISHA on
one of its covers. That I led that particular revival was little known to all the revivalists who followed.....

Now you know a little about me..........
So what were you doing in the 70's and early 80's??
