Set of four (4) totally charming, hand-drawn, hand-colored with watercolors, One Of A Kind Original drawings, each signed
by the artist Alfred Manders.
The whimsical drawings depict Central American early 20th century scenes: (1) Rooster, Sleeping Security Guard and His Dog, (3) Sleeping Workers entitled
"Flojos" (translated as "Lazies" or "Slack-Offs"), and (4) Sleeping
Peasant Wearing Sombrero Riding Donkey.

The drawings are done on heavy drawing paper. They just don't make this kind of thing any more. The fabulous
colored drawings are in good condition for their age, no stray marks, no stains. The colors jump out to welcome
you to a room, while the subjects sleep on........

These drawings are really fun and captivating. They totally capture the atmosphere of Central America in the 1930s
and 1940s. With new mats and frames this set immediately will be a beloved favorite.
