My name is Michaela Cajvan Bernadi and I am a designer. My pillows are a product of education and experience in two cultures; one of my childhood, Romania and the other one of my adulthood, New York City. I have great reverence for the ethnic, the regional, but filtered through the mind of a 21st century person. I constantly thread the line between modern and traditional. I aim forward with an eye to the past.
All pillow covers from this collection are hand made of 100% wool felt (16 oz). Fabric showing through the cut out designs is cotton or linen, depending on color. The pillow inserts are filled with feather.
