 About

As I said I am the network architect for a large health care provider in the Philadelphia, PA area.  I've been involved in technology since my college days. My first job was System Operator for Manhattan College (Riverdale, NY) where I was responsible for a VAX VMS host. I also graduated from Manhattan College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science.

In my current job I'm primarily responsible with designing, installing and operating all LAN, WLANs, MANs and WANs for my employer. I'm also charged with all aspects of network security, from firewall design to content filtering solutions for Internet access.

There are so many great network management products out there but so many just fall short of the basic needs and/or are too cost prohibitive to even attempt to implement. I'm happy to say that the majority of our systems are problem free and run 24x7x356. We currently maintain an average of 99.9% uptime or greater for the entire network, including scheduled maintenance.

Family

I'm the proud father of three beautiful girls. They are the highlight of my life and bring me more joy and love than anything else.

I keep joking the neighbors that I'll need a shotgun and a shovel over the fireplace when they start dating.

Hobbies

I enjoy playing ice hockey in the winter and watching the grass grow in the summer.
