Mike specializes in writing about earth and space sciences, and his work has been published by NASA, Oceanus, Currents, The Discovery Channel, Earth, and Eos. From 1993 to 2001, he taught nonfiction writing at The Johns Hopkins University. He is now a science writer/editor for Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. Read more about Mike >>
Through his work at NASA, he is more familiar with the images from SOHO and other solar missions than anyone on the planet. He has written dozens of poems, short stories, and essays, though none have been published. He has taken courses in photography and built his own darkroom.
