Having lived all my life in a city of about 40,000 people, I was not used to seeing such diverse wildlife as what I had noticed residing around the farm. In the city, one would see an occasional possum, skunk, or raccoon, but mostly the variety of wildlife was limited to squirrels, maybe a dozen different types of birds, and a couple of varieties of butterflies and moths.
Needless to say, when I began spending a goodly amount of time on the farm, I began to notice a lot of different critters ambling about. The most obvious thing was the fact that there were so many varieties of birds! It wasn’t long before I started spotting other vertebrates as well. I’ve been able to shoot some pictures of some of these critters (with varying results in quality), but not all. So far, I’ve noticed:
White-tailed Deer - a different shot of a solitary doe, and one of the bucks
Common Raccoon
Woodchuck - including a picture of it standing
Hairy-tailed Mole
