Virtual tour of the "Pink Office"
Update: The office is no longer pink! Room 155 was painted a standard beige/off-white color, and is now occupied by another State Representative.
Former Representative Marie J. Parente was appointed to serve as Vice-Chair of the House Committee on Rules in 2005. Her committee assignment resulted in a move to a new First Floor office. Before the move occurred, the carpet was steamcleaned and the walls were painted "Bunny-Nose Pink" (#2074-60) thanks to a donation from Benjamin Moore Paint in Milford.
The following photographs document the office before and after Rep. Parente's efforts to clean, paint and redecorate the office, which has been featured in newspapers and on Channel 56's "Ten O'Clock News". With the exception of assistance provided by the House moving staff, no taxpayer resources were involved.
