We are officially "paper pregnant" in our adoption of a baby girl from China! We submitted our completed dossier
(the big pile of paperwork required) to Living Hope Adoption Agency who sent it to China for us in July 2007. We have
a LID (log-in date) of July 23rd, 2007. Currently, China is way behind in all their paperwork processing and not picking up
momentum. We were hoping to bring our baby home in the Fall of 2009. But, we are accepting the fact now that it will
probably be much longer.

The last group of families to receive their referrals have been waiting about 2 years from their LIDs. However,
there is such a backlog of people ahead of us, that the wait time is increasing. No one will predict how long we will wait.
Some say 3 years, some say 4 years, some say much longer than that even! Others say that Chinese adoption wait times go up
and down and who knows when it will swing back to going down. But, they believe it will. We really don't know much. But, we
have requested a baby girl between the ages of 6 months and 12 months.
