Stonebrakers Medicines and Preparations were started by Henry Stonebraker in Funkstown, Maryland in 1858.
He manufactured patent medicines and other preparations for humans and animals. In 1866 he transferred the business
to Baltimore with partners and it was named Stonebraker,Hoffman & Company. In 1871 the company name changed to H.
Stonebraker & Sons. Upon his death in 1877, his sons continued the business. H. Stonebraker & Sons were
listed in the directories from 1867-1881.
