We started out as a few folks that just wanted to ride
together. On April 12, 2008 we held our Charter meeting and became STAR
Touring & Riding Association Rockwall Chapter #446.
While nearly 40 people signed the original charter, we
have had a regular showing of 12 to 20 people.
We require no dues; supporting our Chapter through fundraisers,
voluntary contributions, and the occasional 50/50 raffle at monthly meetings.
We put heavy emphasis on safe riding practices, ride in a staggered
formation when in groups, use common hand signals to communicate during rides, and do not condone the consumption of alcohol
while riding. A "Ride Captain" is selected to lead the rides, and a "Tail Gunner" follows the group to ensure that no one
gets lost or left behind.
